Sugar Magnolia started at the stroke of midnight

Right before that, a large dragon descended from the ceiling, picked up a beautiful maiden at one side of the soundboard, flew over the crowd, and deposited her on stage. This was reminiscent of The Game of Thrones and the oncoming Year Of The Dragon.

There was also a balloon drop, and lotza folks dancing on the stage and throwing candy into the audience. Bill Walton, dressed as Father Time, was also dancing onstage.
